Title: LaGG-3 of Mironov
Post by: Massimo Tessitori on August 09, 2015, 08:55:26 PM
Hi,
I've seen a Russian news with three photos of Mironov and his LaGG-3 that I hadn't seen before.
They are deformed but worth some comments.
this is of the known plane. Just I wonder why the arrow is dark and the star is light.
could this be plane 78? I can't see the arrow.
Victory stars! They were missing in the previous images I wonder if it's the same plane.

The already known photos:

Any comments?
Regards
Massimo

Hi,
I've received a pair of interesting images from Ruchkovsky:
this is a better version of one of the previous images (I suppose that the date is 1943, even if it seems written 1945)

and this is from a movie somehow related with units on the northern front
(http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/lagg3/mironov/80a.jpg)
Plane n.80 resembles very much to the plane of the previous image, and could be the same.

This suggests that Mironov could have flown more than one LaGG.
This plane doesn't seem to have starlets on its left side, I'm still wondering if they were on the plane with the arrow.

Regards
Massimo
