Thanks Jouni. I've written to them. The vacu kit looks fairly good, at a first glance. Massimo

WOW! that looks better than the VP kit. yours has drop tanks, a metal propeller, and two radiator intakes.
but ,I notice it has exhaust shield plates and a four-gun cowling of the early machines. yet,the rudder hinge line , second radiator intake and exhaust are mid-production features. it seems to me the shields should be sanded away and built as a mid-production plane just like the LTD kit they have played a game of 'mix-and-match'

Hi Michael, at first glance it looks a long review. I suppose that it describes well the model. By the way, I had a look at the model of MiG-21 Bis of Zvezda and it looks very good to my eye. Does anyone know anything of this kit? Massimo

Spasibo Meesha! I found some other things interesting there too (P-39 flown by Dolnikov and Yak-7b flown by Orekhov)

I have the Zvezda MiG-21Bis, and it's a very good kit indeed, much more accurate in outline than the Fujimi kits. (..of which I have three!!!) I have dry-fitted it pretty extensively, and I expect it to assemble with little trouble. It promises to be a very good one. Hopefully they'll do am MF/SM as well, as this type is VERY common, and very poorly served in plastic.

Thank you Greg, If I remember well, the Russian review criticized the main wheels that were from an earlier version, but the kit should be good. I have two Fujimi too! Wasted money, they were very expensive at the time I bought them. Massimo

Wasted money, they were very expensive at the time I bought them. Massimo I've had my three Fujimi kits in the closet for about 10 years now. I purchased them on sale from a US mail order house caled VLS (acquired some time ago by Squadron, IIRC..) for $11 each, which was a steal. Didn't really realize then how flawed they were. One is a SMT version, which I may just build. Beautiful kits from an engineering standpoint, but a waste otherwise.

Hi Greg, 11 $ is a good price, if compared to 30,000-40,000 Lire that was its price in Italy 15 years ago (about 20 Euros, but a lot of time ago; then it was a price higher than many 1/48 kits).
