Hi Misos, I see, it doesn't look forked. Just I see that the bolts are made by mask, and it is likely that the same mask was used more than once. Regards Massimo

Hi Massimo, rudder corrected, tail of the lightning modified with the "repair": On the page with photos http://ava.org.ru/iap/18g.htm the almost all aircraft from 1945 have white board number and lightning, like these: But this one is again interesting: - Board number is pretty bright, probably (fresh) white. - Lightning (forked tail) is darker than board number but seems to have same shade as stars outline - very dirty white? silver?, yellow? - Shade of the red star is darker than the shade of the lightning. Work in progress: regards, 66misos

Hi, here is finished, hopefully, Yak-3 b.n. "12", same regiment and time as "Yellow 24" above. In this case I decided for silver lightning and star outline: Regards, 66misos

Hi Misos, nice work. In a photo, there is a n.47 on the background that seems to have only the frontal section of the arrow. Regards Massimo

Great job too! Note: the spot on (and near) the lower right corner of 5 digit is the photo-defect or a dirt. Better to remove it, or paint a spot over 5 too.

Hi PG monster, I guess you speak about aircraft with board number "12". Should star outline and lightning be silver (serebrjonka), btw. my preffered option? Regarding aircraft "19" - number and lightning are white, same as star outline on the tail. But star outline on the fuselage looks silver. Regards, 66misos Most probably another shade of white (worn-out). Anyway the "serebryanka" looks much preferable than yellow.

Hi PG monster, Thank you for comments. "White 15" - you are probably right about that defect oh the photo. EDIT: Corrected: "White 12" - interesting info about red outline of the board number. Were memoirs of pilot Kalyuzhnyi published? So is it publicly known info? Regards, 66misos

Hi Misos, I've received some interesting informations from Mr.Arnaud of the museum of Bourget. The Yak-3 exposed there had yellow-orange stars when flying with 18 IAP and with number 21. I'll try to know more. Would you be interested to trace a profile of it?
Regards Massimo

Hi Misos, Mr. Arnaud has written that they are working on a page of profiles by themselves, so I think that it's better to wait before drawing it. By the way, I see that we haven't any profile of Yak-1b with standard grey template till now, would you consider to draw one in the future? Best regards Massimo
