Hi Oleg, thank you for sharing these images. Is the second plane a Pe-2? Massimo

1941 SF? Unlikely. Chassis construction is closer to Tupolev and Ilyushin design beuraus. Most likely - SB m-103 or Ar-2

Someone really should tell these pilots to get out of the way when taking photos of aircraft!

Hi, it's a Pe-2. I've checked on photos. SB has single-led landing gear and double intake on each wing aside the engine. Besides, Ar-2 hasn't the air intake under the propeller. Massimo

Best solution would be to chase pilots off the airfield altogeather Too bad so many otherwise excellent "Operation Barbarossa" photos include German soldiers blocking the view of important details of captured VVS aircraft! Very inconsiderate... (Having said that, I think everyone involved was too busy just trying to stay alive to imagine or care about our humble interests, 60+ years later - I never wish for a "time machine", because I'd probably end up shot!) that is the feature that says to me 'this is a Pe-2' I do not know of any other aircraft with elliptical intakes for the oil coolers.
