Title: Stepanyan's Il-2 n.10 Post by: Massimo Tessitori on June 07, 2014, 10:06:15 AM Hi,
a new drawing (noo... one again?) of a plane thought to have been flown by Stepanyan (http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il2-late1941/il2-sp-fl-amv-3view-col-z18-10stepanyan-p.jpg) http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il2-late1941/il2-sp-fl-amv-3view-col-z18-10stepanyan.jpg (http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il2-late1941/il2-sp-fl-amv-3view-col-z18-10stepanyan.jpg) (http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il2-late1941/10%20stepanyan.jpg) N.G.Stepanyan, 57 PShAP of Red Banner Baltic Fleet (KBF) at the Leningrad airport in November 1941. http://www.warheroes.ru/hero/hero.asp?Hero_id=263 Around him, G.S.Nelson and Potapov. Below, an image of his plane n.10. This seem built in Z.18 around September 1941. It has a wooden fuselage (but we see a repair close to the star fixed by small nails), unusually large red stars with white outlines and a sharp camouflage with an horizontal band on its tail. The canopy is likely of the early style. Regards Massimo Title: Re: Stepanyan's Il-2 n.10 Post by: learstang on June 07, 2014, 05:45:06 PM You can never have too many Il-2 profiles, Massimo!
