Title: A big model
Post by: Massimo Tessitori on October 05, 2012, 06:41:46 AM
Hi,
Maybe someone thinks that the Hobby Boss kit is too large...I've seen a much bigger model.

I've seen that.  It's not a bad replica.  At least the green colour looks to be the correct colour.  The first time I saw it I thought it was a restored Shturmovik instead of a new replica.  I still want to have a full-scale replica (completely accurate, of course) in my back yard.

Regards,

Jason

Hi Jason,
according to the text, it is based on some original pieces. I suppose that the steel armour is original, and probably the landing gear. The rear fuselage is metallic, I think rebuilt. The tail and rudder look done by cutten pieces of another plane.

Yes, I believe that the tailplane was taken from another type of aeroplane.  The landing gear does look authentic.
