Title: Grigorovich I-Z question Post by: herbarnold99 on October 17, 2011, 01:10:58 AM I luckily found an example of the Grigorovich I-Z vac kit from Kayuk. The accompanying 3-view from the instructions is below, and it conforms closely to the kit's outlines:
(http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i246/herbarnold99/I_Z_Kayuk.jpg) However, almost all other 3-views I've found of the I-Z show a considerably narrower chord. Here's an example: (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i246/herbarnold99/iz-1-new.jpg) Anyone know which is right? Or even closer? Photos of the I-Z aren't thick on the ground, and none that I've come across lead me to any conclusion about this wing chord mystery. Thanks for any help or advice! I also notice that the horizontal stabilisers are different in the two drawings. I realise that's no help; hopefully someone else here can help you. This is certainly the place to find out. By the way, if you ever have any questions on the IL-2 Shturmovik, I'm reasonably knowledgeable about that particular aeroplane.
