interesting project indeed. Will the inside be visible through the open hatches only? Will it be burned? Regards Massimo Title: Re: T-34/76 wreck project Post by: 4bogreen on April 24, 2014, 10:36:43 PM Hi Massimo,
Yes, the hatches stay open and it will be burned. It was a challange to build, and finding the info i needed. Its in the primer now. It took 4 hours to prime the model and its parts. Then i needed a relaxing project for me, and build the La-5f. Planes are my " hollyday" a bit now... if the inside is burned it will be all black. I fear that too few will be visible from the hatches. The fire inside was put out by ignition of some shells. Shells had a so called "cookoff", and i think it was a half minute before they were to hot. So, we can make it brown, yellowish white and black inside. The engine section burned totally till fuel/ oil was gone... So it can be black, very dark grey and brown. The engine was corroded black and white. I have seen it on a picture of a burned T-34. The engine was aluminium.

interesting way to show the inside. Many years ago, I saw an impressive photo on Squadron/Signal monograph on T-34 where a German officer was observing a skull in front of a T-34 whose front plate was blown off. The casting of the turret was very good. They had only one drawback. If the turret was penetraited, the wall would shatter. Just like a fragment granade...
