It is nice that you are going to model a nice Yak-1. Before advicing you it would be nice to hear what : - scale? - type of Yak-1 (bubletop/razorback)? 1/48 scale if possible, and a Yak 1b is what really caught my eye. Although this is not my scale, but in my oppinion the kit from Accurate Miniatures deservs the attention. There is the correction set from Alpha-Flight for this kit of Yak-1: http://vvs.hobbyvista.com/Modeling/Yakovlev/Yak-1/Aftermarket/AlphaFlight/index.php Maybe other fellas who work with 1/48 will give more valuable advices.
