Fake? Not fake? I'd like to believe it's real just because I don't think a Mustang or a Bf-109 (and definitely not a P-47!) could survive something like that...
In fact, when I first looked at it, I thought it was actually a radio-controlled flying model!
I find some of the comments posted with this and other similar videos interesting - I'm certain that the aircraft is one of the newly-built Yak-3's with Allison engines (Yak-3UA?) from about ten years ago, but some of the respondents on Youtube seem equally certain that it's properly designated as a Yak-9 or Yak-9U (also check the video of the taxiing "Yak-9" for comments), but it's definitely not a Yak-9 or Yak-9U as we know them. Regardless, it's good to see some of the respondents praising the Yak fighters!
