Title: 1/72 Toko Il-2M3 'Chapayevtsky' Post by: dancho on May 11, 2015, 12:14:54 AM I built this model in 2008. I found this scheme in the Eduard kit's instructions and used the decals from that kit on this one. I decided to go radical and paint it in "home brew" colors that were based on the best info available at the time.

I also learned that the thing on the spinner isn't a cannon. :P Title: Re: 1/72 Toko Il-2M3 'Chapayevtsky' Post by: learstang on May 11, 2015, 12:58:20 AM Very nice Il-2! The colours look quite good. You've probably learned by now that there were no panel lines on the rear fuselage of two-seater Il-2's during the GPW, as the rear fuselages were made of wood, with a smooth finish.
