Hi all,
I've waited to make public my worries, but it's December now.
Despite my asking to JP Myers, I haven't received from him any assurance that he will/can renew the domain and web space of Sovietwarplanes for the next year.
I know that he is having personal difficulties in his life, and perhaps the international situation has given him to work hard.
Still hoping to receive good news from him, I've managed to look for another web space to move both the forum and the site in case of sudden crash.
I did this with the help of Jasu Terava, that worked to give assistance and to break the large backup file of this forum into smaller ones that could be imported there.
For now, the clone forum is at
http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanestest/board/index.php, updated to early November.
To make it function well, it will be necessary some further work, as an update of contents to next late December, a correction of the links related to the site (they are absolute, so they are still pointing at the present site), eventually an upgrade of the disk space, of the database and of the transmission band, and eventually to buy the Sovietwarplanes domain (name/address) if JP won't confirm this.
As it is now, the Altervista web space is free, but updates could have a price (cheap, it seems) or require to add some publicity.
In the meanwhile, I've started to use this web space for other works too.
For example, a research on the mysterious North Korean tanks.
