Dear friends,
Massimo has just published an article about the Il-2 prototype with the radial M-82 engine.
It is 47 pages long, with many photos and seven-view drawings in 1/72 and 1/48 scale.
The late Klimov had prepared the original drawings, but they have been much expanded and corrected using original material that was not available twenty years ago.
Text and photos come from Prof. Rodionov, and Massimo has prepared the pdf for everyone to enjoy.
It seems to me that this work is more correct than what I have seen published before, but as always, any suggestion and correction of the possible mistakes is much welcome.
Best regards
Daniele

Very interesting photo. Anyway I think that the plane could be camouflaged as the second one, but the surface was ruined after the cleaning of a winter white layer.

Most Quickboost 'corrections' do not actually correct anything, but are just one-to-one copies of the kit part with some panel lines better defined or minor detail added
Further to this point: as many of us will have the 72d Eduard MiG-15 in the stash; I just got a QB "corrected" intake ring for that kit. The only difference from the kit part is the gun camera port is drilled out in the QB part vice the deep hole/port in the Eduard kit. QB saves you about a minute of drilling time, should you want that port completely open. I love the vast majority of QB bits that I have but have learned to look before buying for the above-stated reason.

Interesting Il-10, the image looks consistent with a grey-grey camouflage.

They have lots of interesting pieces and even many complete kits.

Looks interesting, I would know more. An adequate kit was just needed. Is this their first kit released?
Massimo

I believe this is their first 1/72 aircraft kit. Hannants' web site shows 515 products, both kits and accessories, mostly in 1/144 but in other scales as well, including 1/72 accessories.

Also a lot of armour.
