Yesterday we had recieved authors books
http://www.ospreypublishing.com/title_detail.php/title=T2997We are in shock!
Our authors text was corrected without our knowlege. The result... It's hard to describe... Our point of view was made to match the official American point of view. Samples:
- We wrote - Yourii Dobrovichan shot down B-29, there are proofs. Americans officially did not confirm this victory. After correction in the book Dobrovichan shot down B-26;
- We wrote - While fighting with Sabers Zameskin shot at American aircraft and was damaged by pieces of metal, falling from the plane he shot at. In the book - Zameskin's aircraft was shot up;
- We wrote - October 2nd 1952 Meteor was shot down, It's British pilot flying officer Oliver Krikshnek, who was temporary assigned to 77th squadron was killed. This information was aquired from "Australia in Korean War", besides, this loss is present in KORWALD! In the book - in October Meteors had no losses...
And a lot of examples like this!
What i wrote it for: If you got this book - keep in mind, that it is NOT what it was supposed to be, and can NOT be conscidered a serious source of information.
Meanwhile... Look at photos, but definitelly don't read the descriptions.
BR, Yourii Tepsurkaev
