Title: New Il-2 Reference Post by: John Thompson on November 05, 2009, 10:09:33 PM This looks interesting - does anyone know anything about it? I'm curious to know how it can be "free of charge", but I do like free things:
http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=196253 Here's the author's web site: http://www.viktorpublishing.blogspot.com/ John Title: Re: New Il-2 Reference Post by: John Thompson on February 27, 2010, 03:34:46 PM Viktor has now released an incredibly detailed analysis of available 1/72 decals for two well-known Il-2's; to get a copy of this document, e-mail him at airacut(at)gmail(dot)com. If you haven't done so already, you should ask for copies of his two previous Il-2 profiles which include artwork and 1/72 kit reviews. The decal profile is the first in a series, in which he plans to analyse all available 1/72 Il-2 decal sheets. The amount of work that has gone into these documents is amazing, and, once again, this is free for the asking!

For who is interested: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=212280 (http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=212280) Massimo Title: Re: New Il-2 Reference Post by: learstang on July 29, 2010, 06:10:51 PM Having gone through all his works on the IL-2, I have to say that Viktor has done an excellent job. He's obviously done a lot of research, and it's nice to see some accurate profiles of the IL-2 instead of the old (and wrong) dark brown and green schemes that still pop up in books and kit instructions.
