I think that kerosene is not the right fuel for piston engines. However, it had four tanks: one in front of the cockpit, one below behind the cooler, and two in the wings behind the landing gear. Those in the fuselage are visible in the cutaway (one is drawn as blackish, one as light blue, although the colors will have to be revised) (http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/cutawaysc.jpg) Regards Massimo Title: Re: Kerosene tanks in MiG-3s Post by: Dan_Cooper on October 06, 2013, 07:26:52 PM Hi, Massimo do you know how wide the tank below the pilots seat is, or are there any pictures of one?

I think it's nearly as wide as the cooler fairing that contains it. Regards Massimo Title: Re: Kerosene tanks in MiG-3s Post by: Dan_Cooper on October 07, 2013, 06:18:48 AM thanks a lot Massimo
