Title: Winterizing a MiG-3 Post by: Audrius on September 19, 2006, 09:52:31 PM hello
on the fresh FSM (http://www.finescale.com/fsm/default.aspx?c=a&id=2591) there is published an article of how to make a Mig-3 in winter camo. The base is a kit from Trumperter and prototype is red 39 of 120IAP. More reading is provided in pdf file which you can download: http://www.finescale.com/fsm/objects/pdf/fsm-am1006.pdf (1.5MB). In deed very nice kit and article on the process, but I would say the effect wearing is a far too much. What do you think? The cockpit is done very nice! here comes the picture: (http://www.finescale.com/fsm/objects/images/fsm-am1006_00.jpg) BR Audrius Title: Re: Winterizing a MiG-3 Post by: Massimo Tessitori on September 20, 2006, 02:17:16 PM Hi Audrius, :)
it's of effect, but unrealistic. I've never seen a MiG-3 as such. I don't see any reason why winter color should go in such way on panel lines. Maybe the modeller has good skills but this MiG is... overdone. It's the perfect example of overdoing destroing the whole image.
