Title: New Drawing of Early MiG-3 Post by: John Thompson on May 09, 2011, 09:27:27 PM I wish the local hobby shop (Aviation World in Toronto), which used to be a gold mine for East European aviation books and magazines, would go back to stocking more of these items. I'd love to get a copy of the recent issue of Aviatsiya i Vremya where this drawing appeared; I got this image from Scalemodels.ru:
(http://s3.postimage.org/2owc9h6f8/Mi_G_3_drawings.jpg) (http://postimage.org/image/2owc9h6f8/) Av. World was where I stumbled across (and eagerly purchased!) such treasures as Leipnik's "Yak-9 - Soldiers of the Sky", the Skrzydla special issues on the Yak-1b and Yak-9P, and Stankov's "Yak Fighters in Soviet Air Force Regiments 1941-1945 Vol.2", as well as numerous issues of AiV and other foreign-language aviation magazines. Ah, the good old days - I must be getting old... No, wait a minute - I am old - when did that happen?! ;) John Title: Re: New Drawing of Early MiG-3 Post by: learstang on May 10, 2011, 01:34:24 AM Don't worry John, it happens to us all (I suppose it beats the alternative). Nice drawings, by the way. Makes me want to work on the Trumpeter MiG-3 I recently picked up.
