Massimo.
Could you please provide link to Yak-2/4 section of your page? Better still could you include it in your page?
I lost it and on VVS forum hot topic dealing with this planes does not exist anymore.

Hi Tiso, :)
the link is http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/yak-2-4/index.htm
At present time, the page is not ready: I have to restart to work on it. My model is stopped too.
Doesn't the topic exist anymore? Who knows why?

Hi, :)
I've updated the page of Eskadrilya Valeriy Chkalow with 3 new profiles of La-5. It's likely that some new ones will be drawn in next future too.
Please, let me know any suggestion.

Hi Massimo!

I for a long time could not decide what painting scheme to choose for mine La-5 (Vector 1/48)  ???. Now I can say that it'll definitely be # 58. I think that I'll make it for christmas holidays.
Thanks  :)!

Sergey.

Hi, :)
Oleg, your latest interview is uploaded on the site. Very interesting. Please, have a look and let me know if it's all OK.
In a part of it, there is written about all-metal Yak-3 made at Saratov. Is it possible to know if this is referred to 1945/46? Perhaps he was talking about the elusive production Yak-3 VK-107, whose operatrive use is unknown, or perhaps they're common yak-3s with wooden rear fuselage and he was in error. Please, could you see if any source reports the delivery of such planes to the unit?

Noot sure if it is at all possible - Zvyagin is dead... I'll ask Vlad about it, but he seems not to bee in to "iron"... On the other hand this unit was switched to La's very soon after war end... Also interesting moment - there were onlyfew 9K-s in the unit...

Hi, :)
your friend made some researches on the pilots. Couldn't he look for planes on the same sources?

He spent several years in central military archive, and it would take another several years to find information about aircraft... :'(

Hi Oleg, :)
I fear that the operative history of Yak-3 VK-107 will remain a mistery. :'(

It will be only the least of all mysteries of GPW...

Hi Massimo,

Thanks for update!
Concerning LaGG-3 "Gor'kovskiy pioner" the fourth line in a donative inscription is "vozdushnikh sil RKKA", last two lines probably "from ******* ". Unfortunately I could not find out the full text of an inscription. I would like to place this  variant on decals for next LaGG-3 kit from Vector.

Sergey.

Hi Sergey, :)
thank you for your suggestion.
Unfortunately we can't see if there is any number on the fuselage.
Have you any contact with the authors of the Savaslejka photo file?

Hi Massimo,

Nice details of the LaGG with skis.  Thank you very much.  I appreciate the details of the retraction method.  A couple of the photos seem to suggest that the wheel well was covered over when the skis were used.  Is this a modification for some of the subjects or just an optical illusion.  Two that I noticed are the photo of the crashed LaGG showing the bottom of the ski and the model that you called a strange combination.  Just curious.

Also, are you aware of any kit or aftermarket package that includes skis of this type?

I really enjoyed the LaGG-3s on skis feature - thanks, Massimo. Regarding Clare's question, the Amodel 1/72 Yak-1 includes skis which look very similar (as I recall) to thos shown in the LaGG-3 photos. I hope this helps!

Hi, :)
for what I recall, the skis of yak-1 Amodel were more rectangular. However, it could be a starting point.
I am in contact with a correspondant that is tracing scale drawings of LaGG-3 with ski. I think that this could help.

Hi, :)
should anyone be interested on Il-10, there is an excellent article on his Czech version B-33 on Air Magazine n.35 and 36.
Unfortunately, nothing useful to understand the camouflage utilized in GPW.

I've added photos of my model of I-153. It's not exceptional, but it has an interesting camo and some considerations on the kit of Heller.

I've added the profile of MiG-3 red 7, and corrected the name of the pilot in the interview (I left the filename unchanged).
Please, let me know any observation.
