Title: color of the Sukhoi SU-5 Post by: xan on October 10, 2011, 12:15:45 PM Hello!
a friend of mine started the Sukhoi Su-5 at 1/72 scale. (http://fredericschaeffer.perso.neuf.fr/maquette/sukhoi%20su5/mini/boite.jpg) I don't know much about post war colors but I know that some fighters were painted in gree/blue AMT-4 (AGT-4) /AMT-7 (A-28m) colours and some were painted in grey/blue AMT12/AMT-7 Do to you think that green could be the right colour for that prototype or grey would be better ? Plane had green top and light blue undersides (matt surface) This info is from 1975 Modelist-Konstruktor text by N. Gordyukov: http://mkmagazin.almanacwhf.ru/avia/su_5.htm (http://mkmagazin.almanacwhf.ru/mkmagazin/avia/su_5_2.gif) Author is an authority, but colors/camouflage could have been B/W photo interpretation????? From the same author and from the same times: (http://www.navylabs.ru/i/avia/su6/su6.jpg) Although, photographic reference shows that some Su prototypes were camouflaged (http://crimso.msk.ru/Images6/AM/AM00-5/38-1.jpg) (http://crimso.msk.ru/Images6/IA/IA00-4/25-1.jpg) |
