Title: Authentic Li-2 and DC-3 Decals Post by: John Thompson on March 24, 2012, 04:59:51 PM The next project under development for Authentic Decals is for the Lisunov Li-2 and lend-lease DC-3; at this point, the artist is looking for suggestions and reference information (note the link to Massimo's Li-2 page!). His thread on Scalemodels.ru contains some good photos/movie stills, so far:

this is very interesting, but I fear that the military Li-2 would require the release of some conversion kit to become popular as subject of models. Who knows if anyone there is willing to create such a thing? The night bombing version would be the most appealling one. Who knows - if it does well, the may release it in 1/72nd scale. Otherwise I'm going to have to redo my old conversion to get a night bomber out of it.

Thank you, Bert! Now if there were some magic way to combine this kit with Amodel's L2D Tabby (Japanese-built DC-3), then we'd have an Li-2 night bomber. If only!
