Title: Tamiya Il-2 - Finished
Post by: Apex1701 on October 12, 2012, 01:23:12 AM
Hi everyone,

here's some pictures of my just finished Tamiya Il-2.
Colors are from AKAN excepted the AMT-1.
AMT-1 was mixed with 75% XF-20 and 25% XF-63.
It maybe a bit too grey, what do you think ?

That is beautiful, Jean!  It seems to me, however, that the AMT-1 is too grey.  It should be more tan.  Other than that, superb model!

Best Regards,

Jason

Hi Jean,
it's a really beautiful model. I like very much its 'real' effect due to the well-made weathering.
From the photo, I think that the brown is too greyish. The argument of brown on Il-2s is difficult, photos seem to show that it was darker and more blurried on the central fuselage and nose than on the wings and rear fuselage that were painted separately, at least in Zavod 1.
