Title: New project: U-2 1/48 - de pange 's plane / GC3 Normandie 1944 Post by: xan on April 17, 2013, 03:45:12 PM Hello I'm working on a new project : the De pange second U-2 (in the Normandie's 1944 second campaign))
I will put here all the question i can have about the plane... mister KL answer me yet about the A-14 color inside the plane, but now , I have another question... how were the U-2's propelers painted toward 1944 ? difficult to say. Googling, one can see that postwar ones have forthemost green blades. In a museum, there is an engine with an unpainted wood prop. Regards Massimo Title: Re: New project: U-2 1/48 - de pange 's plane / GC3 Normandie 1944 Post by: KL on April 18, 2013, 08:15:20 AM Hi Xan, :)
I have checked books and nothing conclusive... :( Black propellers are very (extremelly) rare on available photos ??? I would go with a green propeller. Following two photos may help to decide: (http://www.maxpenson.com/photos/1675.jpg) (http://www.maxpenson.com/photos/1817.jpg) HTH, KL Title: Re: New project: U-2 1/48 - de pange 's plane / GC3 Normandie 1944 Post by: xan on April 18, 2013, 09:31:42 AM thanks mister K,
