Title: Modeling tutorials Post by: JP on July 13, 2013, 08:03:43 PM Gents,
Found this guy online looking up some other stuff. He specializes in tanks, but also does aircraft and figures. Frankly, I think youtube will be for modeling what sites like HyperScale were for the last decade - drastically improving modeling around the globe in a very short period of time. Anyway, I think there's something here probably for everyone. For my part, I was looking for a review on a tank, and wondering how the hell they paint a tank model AFTER constructing the entire thing. http://www.youtube.com/user/888HamilkarBarkas888?feature=watch Title: Re: Modeling tutorials Post by: learstang on July 13, 2013, 08:11:08 PM That's great, just as long as he doesn't do one for the Il-2! That's what my long-promised (threatened?) modelling guide is for.

Lately they've been mostly A-14 Steel Grey. Title: Re: Modeling tutorials Post by: 4bogreen on July 15, 2013, 04:23:31 PM @ Jason- I got the IL-2/IL-10 book of famous russian aircraft of Yefim Gordon, that is a 400+ page book to build a IL-2. A bit overkill of information (but a very cool book). Is your book more ''compact''?
@ B_Realistic- So thats the secret!! ;D Title: Re: Modeling tutorials Post by: B_Realistic on July 15, 2013, 04:56:26 PM @4bogreen
Yes otherwise it's called bodypainting. :D Title: Re: Modeling tutorials Post by: learstang on July 18, 2013, 06:23:58 AM @ Jason- I got the IL-2/IL-10 book of famous russian aircraft of Yefim Gordon, that is a 400+ page book to build a IL-2. A bit overkill of information (but a very cool book). Is your book more ''compact''? @ B_Realistic- So thats the secret!! ;D I hate to disappoint you Remco, but my book is going to be long, perhaps even longer than the Gordon and Komissarovs' book! I specialise in overkill, certainly with regards to the Il-2. However, if it makes you feel any better, much of the book is taken up by Mr. Tessitori's excellent artwork in the form of colour profiles, so it's not all just "talk".
