Title: Su-2 Correct dimensions
Post by: warhawk on December 04, 2013, 04:53:51 PM
Having found a plethora of different sources on dimensions, and a rather puzzling mixture od different Su-2 variant names, i would like to make it as simple as possible:

What is the correct fuselage length and wingspan of this Su-2 variant (like in ICM kit)
Some call this one Su-2 M88, was it the same as M-88B (one with slightly different , less square lower intake)?

Hi, according to Yefim Gordon, both Su-2M-88 and M-88b were 10.25 m long., wing span 14.3 m.
The  versions had different cowling, spinner and engine.

Thank you for the data.

The  versions had different cowling, spinner and engine.

This is what bothers me the most. For example, the same length is stated in most books for all Spit MKVs, but Vb and Vc had completely different spinners...
Which book by Yefim Gordon are you referring to?

The book is 'Soviet combat aircraft of world war two', vol.2,  of Gordon, Khazanov, Medved, Midland Publishing. I've also the monograph of Armada, but wasn't able to find the data there.
