here is colorized well-known photo of Il-2m3 "25" Mstitel (Avenger) flying above Berlin in 1945. Original photo is photo-montage of (at least) two separate photos, so I used the same artistic license and made two alternatives, while the same original bw photo is on the top of both pictures. 1.) It gives a good impression of what a real colour photograph of the Il-2 would have looked like from the GPW. Too bad the Soviets didn't have colour film (perhaps they had some, but I've never seen a colour GPW photograph, unless it were taken by the Germans!).
