Title: Yermolayev Yer-2 profile Post by: 66misos on June 02, 2017, 07:49:58 PM Hi,
here my work in progress on the early Yer-2 profile with the asymetrical canopy: The vector base: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1309356) and here painting in the process: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1309906) It should be this plane: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1309908) Regards, 66misos Title: Re: Yermolayev Yer-2 profile Post by: Massimo Tessitori on June 02, 2017, 09:42:08 PM Hi Misos,
looks good. I suggest to make the black band above the fuselage star with more vertical contours. Besides the black band on the wingroot has a black protrusion that should be after the small windows, not under them. here is WIP on latter version of Yer-2 with symetric canopy: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1310151) It should be this plane: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1310152) Regards, 66misos Title: Re: Yermolayev Yer-2 profile Post by: Massimo Tessitori on June 04, 2017, 09:12:15 AM Hi Misos,
if I am not wrong, there were two variants of the glazing on planes with symmetric canopy, a curved one and a straight one. Please, check the position of the aerdynamic balance winglet over the turret, I think that it should be more on the side opposite to the barrel. thank you for comment. I have corrected it. Here is the fianal profile: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1310211) Finally I decided for this, more colorfull plane: (http://modelforum.cz/download/file.php?id=1310212) It is not apparent from the photo whether glazing is curved or straight, so I let it be. Anyhow, it is a bit more straight, made according to the line drawing I found on on the net. Whether it is correct or no, I do not know. good drawing as usual. About Yer-2, it is difficult to mak profiles because nearly all the available photos show the number OR the camouflage of a single plane.
