Title: VMF Handley Page Hampdens Post by: Patrick Kinville on January 15, 2018, 04:41:11 PM In September of 1942, 32 Hampdens took off to escort convoy PQ 18, though only 23 made it to Murmansk after flying over German-occupied Norway, neutral Sweden and enemy Finland. Instead of risking the remaining Hampdens on the return flight, the RAF decided to give the aircraft to the Soviet Navy. They served with the 24th MTAR, and were used until July 1943, when they were replaced with Lend-Lease Douglas A-20Gs. I have photos, but I am new here and unfortunately do not know how to post them.

you have to load them into some image hosting site, then copy and glue the link on your post, then select the address and select 'image or 'link' button.
