Interesting camouflage of a Yak-7B that I have not seen before.

Even though it appears to be a trainer per the destination under the image in the link. Would a front line reconnaissance unit have a plane like this as a two seat trainer or would the back seat be used for a spotters position since it is a Naval recon squadron?

Hi, I see some photos of singleseater Yak-7 fighters in the same unit. It would be interesting to know how those were used, for reconaissance or escort.
