nice pictures, thanks for shearing. I can not manage German, but as understood the certain engine is taken from that Il-10 that is shown in color pciture, isn't it? I don't understand German, unfortunately. so I can't help you. At present time, I have not further informations on magnetos. This looks the most likely explanation for that piece. In den n?chsten zwei Jahren wird eines dieser Triebwerke komplett zerlegt und wieder in den Originalzustand versetzt werden. At the begin of May 1998 two Mikulin AM-42 were taken from the German Museum in Munich and brought to the Werftverein Oberschleissheim. In the next two years one of these will completely dismantled and brought back again to its original state.
