Title: More 1/72 AML VVS Decals
Post by: John Thompson on December 31, 2008, 05:12:19 PM
This time it's "Red Devils in the Tomahawks", AMLD72037. Go to this page:
http://www.aml.cz/

The link "Red Devils in the Tomahawks" on that page doesn't work - it gives you one of the previous sheets. Click on "Decals" in the menu on the left side of the screen, then scroll down to the 6th item on the decals page. Clicking on this will give you the full set of Tomahawk decal sheet images, including a bit of seatbelt photoetch which comes with the decals.

Perfect for VVS versions of those Trumpeter and Hobby Boss 1/72 P-40B/C kits!

John

Thanks Matt!
I just wish they would do it in 1/48...

Oh, they probably will - they usually do both 1/72 and 1/48 scales, as long as there's a kit available, and there are 2 or 3 choices for a 1/48 Tomahawk kit.

Speaking of which (that is, two scales, and while I'm still thinking of the LaGG-3 from another thread), I saw somewhere on the Scalemodels.ru forum a response from Sergey at Vector which looked like he was planning to release his incredibly-detailed LaGG-3 cockpit resin set in 1/72 as well as 1/48. At least, I *think* that's what he said - that automatic translation feature can never give you a 100% accurate translation, I'm afraid. Again, I wish I had the time to learn to read Russian!!! ;) Anyway, this rumour will interest Matt, I'm sure, and I also will be standing in line to buy the 1/72 LaGG-3 cockpit, if it ever appears!
