Title: Another Russian Forum
Post by: John Thompson on June 16, 2009, 10:59:12 PM
Here's a relatively new forum of Russian modelbuilders; this link is for the aircraft forum:
http://mikro-mir.at.ua/forum/2

The forum is not broken down by aircraft type (like Jets versus Props, for example) or historic period, and the list of threads is only two pages so far, but among them there is a thread on the ICM 1/72 I-16:
http://mikro-mir.at.ua/forum/2-161-1

A very detailed thread about the experimental rocket-assisted La-7R:
http://mikro-mir.at.ua/forum/2-132-1

Building the Amodel 1/72 Yak-9U:
http://mikro-mir.at.ua/forum/2-16-1

This site does not have its own translation link at the top of the page like Scalemodels.ru, but to translate, copy the URL of the page to the Babel Fish "Translate a web page" address bar, select "Russian to English" (the only Russian "from" option), then click on "Translate". Note the Babel Fish "Translate a web page" address bar already has "http://" inserted in it; I don't know why they did this because it requires you to delete this part of the address, either from the bar itself, or by not copying it as part of the URL of the page you want to translate.

Enjoy!

Thank You , John !
we will have to keep 'monitoring' that forum for further developments.
there seems to be some good potential.
