Thanks, KL - I looked briefly at the home page for the retrospicere.narod.ru site, hoping to find other similar books, but didn't find very much.

This might be of interest - a letter dated June 17, 1941, regarding factory defects in the MiG-1 and MiG-3 and their effects in service - note that this was only a few days before the start of Operation Barbarossa!
