Hi,
I've made a provisional page on repainted planes.

http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/colors/1941-43rep/1941-43repainted.html

Please, let me know any suggestion on this.

Regards
Massimo

Hi John,
I've made some updates adding some photos of I-16 and Pe-2.
Have you some interesting images of early camouflages in your archive, please?

Here's another photo of the last aircraft in the I-16 part of the document:

The marking on the tail is the uniform insignia (called "the hen") of VVS aircrew members from December 1936 to January 1943. It's also my avatar... Wink

The only other information I have is the caption on this profile; maybe someone can offer a translation, since it's an image, not text, and can't just be copied to a translation site:

"I-16 Type 10 captured as a war trophy by German Armies in summer 1941.  Silver top and sides were carelessly brush painted in green.  Note the VVS RKKA insignia painted on the vertical tail."
