Hi evrybody, and particularly Learstang!
I started working of a future project of models.
It will be two Il-1, one "one seat" and the other "two seat"..
but I have more profils than pics...

Have you pics of those profils:

This aircraft was orient 74th ShAP, it was captured by German troops at Bobruisk airfield in July 1941 during ferrying transportation.

this one is the box decoration. but I have no pics of it. Do you have something? (I know a pic of this plane flying but I don't find it)

for the two seat, have you pics of those two decorations (in the authentic decals 1/48)

this one is in, the eduard box too

thank you

Well, looky here - I stumbled across this photo which might be your first single-seater, at least!

But!!! Here's another photo - the same aircraft? Probably not; although the style of the bort number is the same, it appears much brighter, and this photo shows the aircraft to be black/green camouflaged, not just green:

Here's another one - this might be the aircraft in the profile. While it looks the same as the first image I posted, the surroundings are certainly different. Maybe the aircraft was moved to consolidate all the wrecks in one place for salvage purposes?

Here's a well-known photo of one of your two-seaters; Jason probably has more information on this one - I know I've seen it discussed at length somewhere, although I don't remember if it was on this forum or on Scalemodels.ru:

Xan and John, that first picture does indeed appear to be the "White 2" in question.  The only question I have is whether it was metal-fuselaged as shown in that colour profile of Xan's.  The last picture is of Yemelyanenko's aeroplane ("White 100").  As far as "Red 7" and the two-seater with the eagle on the fin, Xan, let me look around in my vast collection of photographs and see what I can come up with (as well as additional photographs of Yemelyanenko's machine).  Xan, Great to hear you're turning your talents to the "Ilyusha"!

Regards,

Jason

Thank you john for those pics, particulary for the white 2...
I suppose the green is A-19f green and blue A-18f blue ?
Was the A-19f lighter than the AII green as it is show in the masimo's color table?

AII:

A-19f :

was the paint glossy or flat ?

Hi Xan,
I wouldn't consider A-19f for I-15bis. The photos show that the green was homogeneous, differently from other types as MiG-3 and Yak-2/4. Probably AII green.

hi Massimo,
I wasn't talking about the I-15 bis but about the early IL-2, a future project  Wink

Go to this site.

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fairaces.narod.ru%2Findex.html

Then click on part 7. Many photos of the planes your looking for in there. You will have to go through them to find them all worth the search though. Just click on the names.

Nice photographs, Barney!  Thank you!  Xan, I'll still try and see if I have some others.  You can never have too many photographs.

Hi Xan,
I think that this is exhaustive on the difference in shade between the wooden and metallic part, but more can be found looking about MiG-3 that showed the same difference, and wide pieces are well preserved.
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il2-camo.htm

On German bw photos, we can see that the difference was initially small, but it became stronger with the weathering of the plane: metal parts became lighter and lighter, wooden parts even darker.
The initial finish was gloss for both paints.
Regards
