Massimo, Hi Smiley I like your work on camouflage IL-4  Grin.
Apparently it is good, in Russia, for unknown reason so far no one has studied enough this issue.  But you made the mistake of using as a basis for the profiles of IL-4, the profile of DB-3F. Actually its a different plane. In this connection, there is a greater absurdity, as the camouflage that you have restored, was never used for DB-3F.

The prototype of DB3f , that Vladimir Kokkinaki first flied, 21.5 39 , was modified DB-3 , but can you tell us about those differences between IL-4 and DB-3f  production aircraft.

Hi Psy,
thank you for the warning. I know that the drawings of Il-4 were made in a hurry, I was interested to trace the patterns only and I'm satisfied with the result for the black-green pattern, but the part on three shades camo is still unconclusive.  One day I'll make much better drawings, or better, I hope that Saivila will do this and let me upload his drawings.

Hi, sorry for late answer.

Its very wide question:)
If very short -
Il-4 as standart of production series at 1943 was:

Differ engine cowlings
Differ oil system.
Differ exausts
tail cowl made from wood
Pilot pit' fairing made from wood
Some planes have wood nose
Reiforced ribs at rear part of fuselage
Very many differents in the aircraft' equipment

At 1944 production series differs was mach greater:
Differ oil sys
Differ flaps
Differ elevators
Differ equipment

All of it about plane with streamline wing.

Hi Psy,
I'm making some researches on the late Il-4, on their wings in particular.
Could you answer to the questions of this topic, please?

From our collegue from scalemodels.ru

Quote from: dabbler

Quote from: translation
The issue with regards to the left side of the IL-4 № 69 "Brave."
I know for sure, on the left side of the aircraft label
"Brave," a semi-circle located on top-around the fuselage
star. Saw a photo in the "Krilya Rodiny" of the 80's ("Крылья Родины" soviet most old aviation magazine), and can't find it!

Hi Psy,
this is interesting. Was there the slogan 'brave' on the left side of the fuselage?

Besides: I would understand the difference in flaps and ailerons of Il-4s built in 1944.

Quote
Summer Weekday 34th UAP. The crew prepares for departure. T-liter pilot Kuzmin, a radio operator with the-t Gribanov, navigator l-t Gryshchenko. Lebedin, 1948.
Do you think it was uniform grey uppersurface?
