Hi,
here are four screenshots of an UIL-2 on Scalemodels.ru.

http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/img_672672_1334381482_bscap0001.jpg.html

It is unusual for many respects: it has a straight wing, the black-green camo of z 18, and an unarmoured windshield.
Accoding to Gordon and Komissarov, UIL-2 were commissioned to Factory n.18 in February 1942, but the factory failed to cope and UIL-2 started to be produced in substantial number only in 1943.
All the photos I have seen before were of arrow-winged planes with three shades camo.

Hi,
I've traced this drawing for this rare variant of the plane. It should be an easy conversion of a singleseater, having one canopy more for a twoseater.

Very nice, Massimo!  I'd read that there were field-modified two-seater trainer versions of the single-seaters, but I'd never run across a photograph before.  The only thing about the profile is that the photograph looks like it has the tailwheel boot so typical of the single-seater.  Looks like that goes on my to-do list of IL-2 conversions (like the M-82 powered version, the IL-2bis, the TsKB-55 prototype - a difficult one, etc.)

Regards,

Jason

Hi Jason,
a boot... yes, I see it. I'll update the drawing.
