Hi,
here is an interesting link from Oleg:
http://kp.ru/daily/25903.4/2860379/
The video is particularly interesting and clear.
The plane is still in decent condition, apart for the loss of the wooden rear fuselage. I hope that they will recover further pieces as the tail surfaces and canopy frames.
It looks a straight-winged two seater built in GAZ 18, with 3 shades camo that appears very darkened by aging.

Massimo,
Abbreviation GAZ (Gosudarstveni Aviatsioni Zavod = State Aviation Plant) was used only in 1920es.
In 1940es aviation factories were officially called "Zavod No...".

Since 1932, when established, GAZ has been used as abbreviation for Gorkovski Automobilni Zavod (Gorki Car Plant).

Very interesting!  I'd already seen some photographs of it on another site, but some of these are new.  Thank you all for the links!  I read where it's to be restored to flyable condition - we'll see.  Let's just hope they get the paint scheme correct!  The wheel wells appear to be painted in ALG-1.

Regards,

Jason
