Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Hi,
I apologize if I posted this my request on the wrong Forum/Category.
I build La-5 from Zvezda and LaGG-3 s.1-4 from ICM, both in 1:48.

Hot candidates for La-5 camo is either winter red "58" or summer "69", both from AML Decals:
.

I would like to kindly ask you for a help regarding right letters color used for "69".
AML Decal has digits "66" plus text "Eskadrila..." plus star outline in silver color. Also in the MBI book about La-5/7 fighters is somewhere written that for texts and outlines was together with standard white/red also silver color quite usual. And yellow very rare.
Massimo has on his page http://www.mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/la5/chkalov/chkalow.html profiles both for "58" and "69", however "69" not silver but white.
I like quality of AML Decals, but I am not confident about that silver color.

However, it shows again that instruction sheets provided with the kit are not always correct. Sad I was focused more on camo then on hardware of the plane. And so realized too late Cry that:
1.) fuselage window behind the canopy should be blinded on the LaGG-3. Instructions said nothing about it but it is evident from photos of real plane (Galchenko),
2.) there should be something (oxygen bomb?) installed just behind the head rest in the La-5, visible through the window on the photos of real plane, but again nothing about it in instructions:

Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,

Hi Misos,
Unfortunately all what I have is this photo.

My guess is that numbers and slogans are white. Eventually, the outline of the star could be silver.

Silver paint was used very rarely. These photos always white.
