It seems wonderfull!!! very impresive!

well the eduard one wasn't so bad....
after the yak-1 fo modelvits and the yak-3 of Zvezda, time will perhaps come for the more needed model at 1/48, which is the Yak-9 or even the Yak-7...

Well, next time I visit Russia there will definitely be one (or more) of these in my suitcase on the way back...

Hi Xan,
looks excellent and impressive, I'll buy it for sure.
I wonder if they will scale down their Lavochkins, replacing the obsolete mold bought from Italeri.

That looks very nice, thank you for posting, Xan!  I'd like to see that in 1/32nd scale, where VVS aircraft are so poorly represented.

From a post by "Berkut" on the ARC forum:
http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Zvezda/Pre_Jak-3/Pre_Zvezda_Jak-3.html

Very impressive; one thing I noticed which surprised me a bit is how much some of the main parts resemble those in the Zvezda 1/72 Yak-3. Before anyone makes the obvious joke, I mean the way the parts are designed, not how the parts from both kits look so much like a Yak-3... Wink

(I'm also a bit disappointed by the one-piece prop/spinner, and the way the radiator air outlets on the underside of the wing are molded as part of the wing and not as separate parts. This is exactly like the 1/72 kit, and even in 1/72 it was disappointing. But it's a small complaint, and not that hard to change.)

Too bad the 1/72 kit doesn't have all that beautiful engine section detail!

Isn't that the truth, John!  It'd be great to have a kit in 1/72nd scale that shows the motor cannon.
