I've seen them before - they make exhausts, I believe cast in metal. I've never bought any, but they look nicely-done.

Jason

Are they still in production? I heard that it was stopped years ago. Regards Massimo

I know Moskit exhausts but I never knew they had a website. And I noticed the walk around from the Yak-9.

You're right, although the site seems to have been revised recently, unless it's just that I've never seen the Russian version before. When I try the bookmark that I already had for the English version, I get a 404 error, although the links to the walkarounds appear. There is another producer of the same kind of exhausts, although the selection is not very large yet: http://armory.in.ua/index.php?manufacturers_id=194John

Yes Armory is very good. And they've got a PE set for the Yak-1b for Modelsvit. Plus some PE sets for the Yak-38 and for the Yak-38U soon. They will produce a PE set for the Tu-2 from Xuntong.

Looks the same as Moskit, which is good. I have quite a few Moskit exhausts from back when they were in full production, and I have to say they're very nice. They look extremely realistic right out of the package, which saves having to drill and paint them. And frankly, how much better can you recreate the effect of rusty, sooty metal than actual rusty, sooty metal? I was sad to see Moskit decline, so I'm very happy to see the product revive under a new name.

Did Armory go under? I get a 404 for that page now, too.
In other news, holy dog balls, I should put all my Moskit sets on eBay! They're listing them there for $20-30 a set! I bought them back when they were in business, and they were like $8 a set. I can't figure out why these metal sets never caught on, especially at that price. That's as cheap as resin, and totally authentic and you didn't even have to paint anything.

No luck finding exhausts by Armory, but they do seem to be currently in production from a company called Rexx. Found the following link to a retail distributor: http://modelsua.com/Rexx.html

As you no doubt know, John, we modellers are a strange lot. Perhaps the reason they went out of business is we "Western" modellers weren't aware of them. I can't recall; were they only for Soviet aircraft? Regards, Jason
