Question on colours and one unit.
Just got me 1/72 PARC models incarnation of this kit (ex NI=Politehnika, ex AER, ex AER/Eastern Express) and one camo is rather strange and interesting for me (being that i'm from what was long time ago Yugoslavia).
It is given as single dark green upper camo with stars only as white borders (no red in them). This camo is given for aircraft of 8.th independant aviation glider regiment on territory of Yugoslavia in 1944 i.e. 8. Отделный авијационный планерный полк

Now questions:
- What was interior colour of Soviet desant glider aircraft i.e. Gribovski G-11 and Antonov A-7?
- Would single upper camo be correct or should it be Black-green or NKAP 1943 standard?
- Any other examples of stars only as white borders?
- Any pics of this particular aircraft? Tried uncle Google but it gives mo nothing on this, acctually photos of this birds (including Antonov A-7) are quite rare.
- Any info on this unit and what it was doing on territory of Yugoslavia and where exactly?

Camo&decal options in PARC kit are identical to older AER incarnation of this kit which can be found here:

And yes i know that the bottom profile drawing is that of Antonov A-7 not G-11 which is BTW also quite interesting kit (added to my stash a couple of weeks ago).

P.S.

Very cool model Tiso  Cheesy I have never see one of these.

I think the inside was a primer color or just plane fabric. It was used only once, so why spend paint on the inside... Huh What material was used to build this glider and were was what material used? I am a bit curious
IMHO KL or Massimo knows best on the color subject  Grin

It was built from wood and canvas as almost all other assault gliders of that era and category

-  If painted, interior should be gray A-14, but stress on "if".  Another option would be silver, like wooden interior of LAGG-3.  Folllowing photo may help to decide:

-  Single green is unlikely - all combat planes and gliders were camouflaged.  In 1944 G-11 was modernized and got larger doors.  If your model has smaller doors go with black-green, if it has larger door go with 3-colour camouflage.

-  In 1944 standard VVS markings were red stars with white and thin red outline.

8th independant aviation glider regiment is a mistake.  Smiley  Unit with this name didn't exist.  During the GPW, VVS organized only 2 independant glider regiments...  It could be 8th transport regiment, check this on serbian or croatian forums.

Hi,
I see that thereis a black-green camo described on the drawings of Hobbyport.
A strange drawing is here:

Hi Tiso,
Google and download Авиаколлекция №12 2012 Советские десантные планеры периода Великой Отечественной войны
It's probably the most useful source on VVS gliders currently available
