Hi,
I don't know whether already posted here on some different thread, so for those who do not know there will be new Su-2 from Zvezda in 1:48 sometimes in October: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=ZVE4805

I'm not really interested that much in 1/48th scale (sorry, Michel!), but I might have to buy this one - it would look good next to my Tamiya 1/48th scale Il-2 if I ever get around to building it.

Regards,

Jason

Hi,
I was originally decided not to build bombers in 1:48 (my preffered scale) due to lack of space - sorry Jason ;-)
But after so many wonderfully built Il-2 posted here and other forums and now this Su-2... I really do not know now. Seems it is the right time to change mind.

No forgetting the Il-4/DB-3 forthcoming from Xutong, [as well as their Tu-2]...

what i really 'want' is a Yer-2 in 1/48th.....

but as for the Su-2, well, hopefully it will be possible to get some spare clear parts, or someone will do some vac replacements....which will let us do one of these Wink

cheers

I agree, Troy, an A-20 with the Soviet turret - nice!

Hi,
I think that the Su-2 had the MV-3 turret with ShKAS, the one of the photo seems a MV-4 with UBT that is slightly wider, or at least has a more powerful and different gun.
Anyway, I think you can use the clear parts. Not all the Su-2s had the turret, some had a flushed openable canopy. I hope they will include the option into the kit.

Nice model. Looks simpler than the Lavockins of the same producer.

Looks nice. Zvezda these days does everything to tempt me from my scale (the one true scale). I must show strenght of the will.
How i feel after seeing sprue shots. Wink Just instead of cookies one should put this Su-2 in it

Zvezda how about a Yak-1b and I-153 in 1/72?

Any way. Zvezda will not make any Yak-1b or I-153 to 72 scale...
