Does any body know where the MiG-3 has got it?s kerosene tanks, of special interest to me would be posible tanks in / under  the cockpit

Hi Dan,
I think that kerosene is not the right fuel for piston engines.
However, it had four tanks: one in front of the cockpit, one below behind the cooler, and two in the wings behind the landing gear. Those in the fuselage are visible in the cutaway (one is drawn as blackish, one as light blue, although the colors will have to be revised)

Hi, Massimo do you know how wide the tank below the pilots seat is, or are there any pictures of one?

Hi Dan,
I think it's nearly as wide as the cooler fairing that contains it.
