Just found this: Academy is planning a La-7 for 2014.

Could it be a reboxing of the old Hobbycraft kit? I thought they had already released it.

Hard to tell from the image.  Academy did re-release the old Hobbycrap La-7 kit in their box, along with some of their Bf109G kits.  I got suckered on one of the Bf109s and was unhappy when I opened the box and immediately recognized the Hobbycraft sprues.  I'd be surprised, and it would be a really bad business move, to announce that old turd as a new kit and fool people with it.

At least they have abandoned their La-5, that differed from the La-7 for the cooler position only.

I'd be surprised if it's a repop of the old hobbycraft / Academy since it's featured as New.

Pictures of the kit are on the Aeroscale site:

It is indeed the same old awful Hobbycraft kit with new decals.
