It would appear that the folks at Xuntong will be producing a 1/48 scale kit of the SB bomber in the future.  Please refer to the link below:

Ouch!

Look at those panel trenches! Let's hope this is just a concept model...

Hi,
it's a 3D drawing with enhanced lines, there is no relation with the way they will make lines.
this firm is continuing the theme of Soviet twin-engined bombers with coherence. I suppose that Pe-2 will be the next one.

I don't do 1/48th scale kits, but those look nice. Let's hope the plastic versions are as well-detailed.

Shouldn't that be don't do 1/48th ....yet Wink

i have a MPM Sb-2 kit, which is apparently challenging, so one of these would be welcome.

Just posted up Mikro-Mir are doing the La-9 and la-11 in 1/48th.....
though I'm still puzzled as why their is not a state of the art Yak-9...
must be waiting for me to have a crack at the pile of ICM and LTD ones I have stashed....

So, how long before we get a Yer-2 and Pe-8 in 1/48th....

Possibly, Troy! If I ever get around to doing my 1/48th scale Il-2's, it seems that they would need some company. I am tempted by Xuntong's Tu-2.

Jason

This announcement is pretty exciting.

Of all the Russian WWII twins, the SB is my favourite. Might not be the prettiest but she's got personality.

Hopefully I will get started on my IL-2s before any of these are released. Might get distracted otherwise.

Cheers,
Robert
