Very good! Can you possibly post an image of the page which includes Alexei Maresiev? It might answer the question regarding what aircraft he was flying when he was shot down in March, 1942. He then spent 18 days struggling through the wilderness to reach safety, had both lower legs amputated as a result of frostbite, and returned to flying in 1943 (the Russian Douglas Bader, or should I say Douglas Bader was the British Alexei Maresiev!  Wink ), with a unit using the La-5FN! There's a Russian Aces web page which includes Maresiev's statistics, but it does not show what aircraft he flew during his career.

Thank you!

You'll have to ask M. Bykov (he visits this forum) about this, since Maresyev did not achieve personal kill toll of 10 and was not included..

When Maresiev was shot down in March 1942, he was flying a Yak-1. Maresiev's final score is 8 air victories (4 before legs amputation and 4 more after) of wich no less then 4 are personal: 2 Ju 87 and 2 Fw 190.
