Hi,
I found at airforce.ru forum the nice photo of Yak-3 with the red flag painted on the tail:



It is quite similar to Yakimenko's plane http://sovietwarplanes.com/board/index.php?topic=752.0:

and

but different board number and style of the flag painted on the tail.

Great photo, assume the pilot i known, note the HSU medal under the cockpit?
