Hi Massimo,
on the page http://models.in.ua/item/1152/советский+разведчик-бомбардировщик+як-2 they write that it is casting under low pressure. Master model is made by 3D printing.

Very interesting! A Yak-2 in 1/48th scale - now that's one I didn't see coming. It will be interesting to see what else they come out with (a Yak-4 in short order, no doubt).

Hi Massimo,
according to the page http://models.in.ua/producer/mars+models the price is 999 grn.
If "ua" in web address means Ukrajina and "grn" means grivna currency, then price is about 40 EUR plus packing & postal cost.

They're popping up here in eBay for $65.  A bit much for me, but very interesting.

Wow, compared to that, $65 doesn't seem so bad.

Hello,
I am lucky to have both the Yak-2 and Yak-4. I could examine them already and I can say they are really well done. However they are Short-Run but real good quality. The surface is beautiful but on      the small parts there are flashes, and both have a photo edged sheet. I hope that the MARS will not be satisfied with this success and we could get the Short-Run produced Russian planes kits preferably the R-10; Di-6; MBR-2; Sh-2; Kor-1; Be-2; B2-4;Jak-6;G-11;A-7 ?types.
By the way I could succeed to buy the Yak-9 DD. For he first view I like it but I wait very much the other alternatives of the Jak-9 which would give more painting options.

Hi Istv?n

well, I looking forward to a 1/48 Yer-2 Wink

regarding the Yak-9DD, Sergey Kosachev of Vector resin points out in this thread

This Yak-9 is the best on the market, as to the colorfull options you will not find them for DD variant. There are only 2 pictures of the Yak-9DD I aware of and they have only numbers and red spinners.

On the other hand you can easily get any late model Yak-9 (T/K/M) from DD. You should to fill 2 additional fuel tanks on the lower wing surface, and the fuel caps for them on the upper surface:

[

kit also have extra spinner for a Yak-9T.

Concerning the decals, if you'll wait a little, Begemot will release a huge sheet for 100+ variants soon. It'll be in the same vein as their sheets for I-16, Yak-3, Su-2, Po-2 and Yak-7:
