hi

I just got the Authentic Decals 'P-40 in the Russian sky' sheet, AD48-60

some schemes I know from photos, one I have not seen is the 2ns scheme down, with the tiger and tail badge, listed as
P-40K 760 IAP, 261 composite division, Karelia winter 1943-44

the instructions list it as being AMT-11 over AMT-7

anyone know more on this?

And, I post the above, and then do a search, find this

from
http://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/142023-strafemike-s-hangar/page-41#entry3650207

full decals instructions

Note the marking beneath the tailplane, shown in red.   Anyone know more of this?  PARM repair unit marking is thought?

The lack of visible stenclling is of interest, perhaps this has had a repaint in VVS colours after repairs, the very light appearance of the is unusual, but may just be an overexposed photo.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Hi Troy,
it could be a logo of PARM. Compare it with this one on P-39:

Hi all,
it resembles a lot to this.

I wasn't able to identify it, but it was suggested that this was the emblem of some fly school. The photos with a civilian woman seem to suggest that this was far from the front line.
